At Eating Disorders and Education Network, it is our goal to give you the hope that we have, that recovery is possible! We are living proof, survivors! EDEN offers community based support groups, as well as telephone support, that will teach you the healthy coping skills necessary to attain and maintain recovery.

We like to think of EDEN (Eating Disorders and Education Network) as a virtual global eating disorder recovery program that can be accessed online or in person for those seeking healthy, positive eating disorder recovery, support and educational programs to change behaviors associated with anorexia, bulimia, and emotional over eating.

Recent Statistics

Recent statistics identify approximately eight million Americans (90% women, 10% men) struggle with eating disorders. It is our goal to give you the hope that we have: recovery is possible! We are living proof: survivors! EDEN’s focus is to provide voluntary alternatives to people with eating disorders so that by their own choice they can work on healthy alternatives to unhealthy eating disorders.

Educational Process

The EDEN Process is an educational 17 week program based on Prochaska’s Transtheoretical Behavioral Change Model. We help participants assess where they are in the five stages of change, then help them create a plan and support their progression through the stages towards recovery. EDEN’s 17 Week Recovery Skills Program, Family & Friends Program, and our Peer Coaching Program are all educational are not treatment. The EDEN programs are not created to replace treatment, but rather compliment it.

Our educational process allows members to choose what they want to work on and at their own recovery pace. EDEN is not treatment. It is a process developed through recovery experiences and developed by a recovered member while obtaining her Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of Michigan.

Goal to Provide Support

Our process was a part of Alice's, Kathy's, and Kim's (EDEN founders) recoveries. We are living proof that recovery is possible and with support it is sustainable. Join our club to interact with a wonderful network of recovered individuals committed to helping you through your recovery process. At EDEN, it is our goal to provide eating disorder support and eating disorder recovery programs to individuals struggling with anorexia, bulimia, eating disorder not-otherwise-specified, and emotional over eating so that by their choice they can work on healthy alternatives to unhealthy eating disorders.
